Arsenal have completed the permanent signing of Spain goalkeeper David Raya after impressing on loan from Brentford.

Arsenal are expected to make Raya’s deal permanent after seizing the No.1 spot from Aaron Ramsdale. With the Gunners having a buy-out clause that would cost Brentford a further £27m after paying a £3m loan fee.
The 28-year-old goalkeeper has made 41 appearances in all competitions, keeping 20 clean sheets, including 16 in the Premier League. And has won the Premier League Golden Glove award and played a key role in helping Mikel Arteta’s side challenge Manchester City for the Premier League title until the end of the season.
“David Raya showed us last season what an important player he is and we are delighted he is officially our player ,” said Mikel Arteta, the club’s manager . “He is a key figure in the dressing room and we are delighted to continue working with him.”
